Structure

IdAB is a joint institute (the only one within the field of Agricultural Sciences at CSIC) with the following organisms:

• Scientific Research Council (CSIC).
• Universidad Pública de Navarra (UPNA).
• Government of Navarra (GN).

The principal governing body of the Institute is the Board of Directors, which has the following members:

• Director.
• Assistant Director.
• General Manager.
• Department Chief.
• Personnel Liaison.

In addition, there is a Scientific Board made up of a team of full-time researchers at the Institute. This board was founded in November 2004.

Labor Safety and Bio-safety

These functions are shared among the administrations of UPNA and CSIC.

Two of the Institute’s staff are also members of the Committee of Ethics, Experiments with Animals and Bio-safety at UPNA.

Infrastructure

The Institute has a Radioactive Isotope Facility that services the entire university. Two of the Institute’s members currently oversee this facility.

Management

The General Manager is part of the staff of CSIC and there is an administration manager of the university that complements this position.

Services

All security, computer, grounds keeping, cleaning and maintenance services are governed by contracts with UPNA. All utilities and taxes are also covered by the university.
