Technical Resources

The Institute has the optimal infrastructure for undertaking research in the field of agrobiotechnology.

The Institute has the following state-of-the-art facilities and equipment:

• Chromatographs (FPLC-HPLC-Ionic).
• Confocal Microscopy.
• Fitotrons and Culture Growth Rooms.
• Automatic DNA Sequencer.
• Quantitative PCR.
• Flow Cytometer.
• Gene Gun.
• Radioactivity Facility.
• Others: (Greenhouses, Animalary, Bobcat and off-road vehicle).

All security, computer, grounds keeping, cleaning and maintenance services are governed by contracts with UPNA. All utilities and taxes are also covered by the university. The Institute has a Radioactive Isotope Facility that services the entire university. Two of the Institute’s members currently oversee this facility.
